Casey Anthony Must Take the Stand

Casey Anthony may be boxed into having to testify.

It appears that Casey, via her attorney, has put her mother in a bad spot by pushing the envelop too far.

How?

Perhaps not so much in her vile accusations against George. There hasn't been a great deal of love lost between these two. They have separated before, with Cindy playing 2nd fiddle to George's Nigerian princess, but when Casey struck out at the apple of her eye, she took it too far.

Lee was parentified early, with Cindy taking counsel with Lee, making her son in the place of her weak, bumbling and abdicating husband. Lee plays with the truth just as do the other 3, loose and careless, but always from a point of ego. Lee, like any Anthony, considers himself above the common man, reflecting back to when he first put out an ad for an "administrative assistant" for himself. What did he want: must be intelligent, hard working, have own car, and available to Lee, 24 hours a day, 7 days per week: no sabbath. Oh, and by the way, must have a college degree. (Something Lee did not have). This tells us a great deal about Lee.

Next was his performance, front and center, at Cindy's memorial where he deliberately toyed with the press with his silly "C-M-A" chant, addressing his sister, of whom there has been some form of agreement, as evidenced in the speech as well as his infamous "high-five", and his need for immunity.

By bringing Lee into it, even in the slightest way, Casey sent a strong message to Cindy that it was a scorched earth policy to save her life: She would bring down whomever she pleased.

By stating that Cindy failed to protect and demanded silence from Casey is one thing; Cindy is used to being made to look the fool before the nation. She has not only embraced the lies of Casey, she added many of her own. She cannot blame Casey for all the times she took to the microphone, clearly in love with having an audience, and rambled off one lie after the next, this is who she is, but when Casey took Lee into the sordid mess, she did what she always does:

went too far in detail.

Liars often do. They think they will be believed when they add in details.

Unless Cindy changes posture and returns to the rabid doberman in defense of her daughter, Casey is left without a choice:

She must take the stand.

If George and Cindy's attorney has filed a motion limiting the references to sexual abuse, Casey will then take the stand.

She won't have a choice.

Next up: Does the need for such a motion, if true, does it make Casey's claim appear credible?

On deck: Did Casey have plans for her parents' lives??
