The Lies of Cindy Anthony

Jose Baez sought to have Jesse Grund's testimony entered into the case where he recalled remembering that Casey told him she found Lee standing over her one night.  The judge said that he had previously done research on the issue and may have been prepared to rule but Baez requested more time in case his research can show reason why this particular hearsay should be admitted.

Jesse Grund had been previously accused by Cindy, to the police, of being the killer.  Had Cindy Anthony successfully convinced the police that Jesse Grund was the "zanny the nanny" killer of Caylee, Jesse Grund would have stood trial for his own life.

For those who excuse Cindy's lies as a "mother", perhaps another mother should be considered in this:

Jesse Grund's mother.

The anger that a mother must feel over the threatening of her son's life must burn deeply within her.  For Mrs. Grund, there is no satisfaction in discounting Cindy's lies just because she is a "mother" of Casey.

Should Casey's lies also be excused because Casey was a "mother"?

Could the defense now say that Casey killed Caylee because she was protecting Caylee from the abuse at the hands of George, therefore, her lies and actions were excusable because she is a "mother"?

Was this just the panic of a mother, who, at the last minute, lied to save Casey's life?

Cindy's lies are not simply limited to a few verbal slips.

Cindy practiced deception when she:

Destroyed evidence
Deliberately gave the FBI the wrong hairbrush

Cindy Anthony practiced deception when she sent the nation on a search for a child she knew was dead.  She bled the emotional and financial coffers of her fellow man for months in this manner, as she lied and travelled to appear on TV, even on the night that Caylee's remains were found, in order to deceive the future juror pool.

Cindy Anthony deliberately lied to media about the evidence in question.

Cindy Anthony allowed Texas Equasearch to waste its valuable time and resources traveling from Texas to Florida, only to sabotage the search efforts.

Cindy Anthony slandered, insulted and ridiculed Zainada Gonzalez.

To the police, Cindy Anthony tried to get them to believe Jesse Grund, the only moral person in the circle of Anthony associates, was the killer.  What of Jesse's mother?

Cindy Anthony attempted to get police to believe the young girl working two jobs, of whom her daughter stole from, to be the nanny who kidnapped and killed Caylee.  What of Amy's mother?

Cindy Anthony perjured herself, under oath, repeatedly, during her testimony and was contradicted by her own son, and fumed towards him.

Cindy Anthony has railed against others making money from this case, even threatening physical violence and law suits against a web site, all because she, alone, should have the right to make money.

Evidence tampering, obstruction of justice and perjury are just 3 charges that Cindy Anthony may face when all is said and done.

But to "excuse" Cindy Anthony's criminal and immoral behavior because she is a "mother" is, in and of itself, inexcusable.   In the book George carries to the trial everyday comes the condemnation of lying.  In it, there are no excuses for motherhood.
