Boo Gallardo

Jovani Gallardo has said he would boycott the 2011 All-Star Game if it was held in Arizona due to the SB 1070 immigration enforcement law that was passed. He is completely out of line just as Steve Nash was out of line when he railed against the law as being immoral. This is a comprehensive issue and when a majority of Americans are for the law, we do not need our faces smacked by some single minded ass clown that is not grateful for the sovereign nature of our country or for the fans that sign his paycheck.

It is an emotional issue on both sides. It is a sticky issue. Shots Heard is not a political website and as such we are not going to advocate any solution to the issue. We live within the scope of our mission. Gallardo should follow our lead. We are not political but we will call out convoluted self righteous arrogance when we see it. Gallardo, you are making millions to pitch a baseball. If you want to retire from baseball and take up the cause then go ahead. But your immigration politics have no place in the game. You are allowed to believe what you want to believe, but in the meantime you owe the fans and Americans an apology.
