Jeff Ashton On Casey Anthony: IGNORE HER

Other than the shocking version, one of the most puzzling aspects to this case was that the jury did not ask a single question of the judge.  Jeff Ashton said this surprised him, as it had never happened before in a case like this.

Comments of counsel not in evidence.

He was concerned about the jury just believing the lies that Jose Baez threw out in various sentences, as he politely said, "comments of counsel not in evidence."  These were things Baez was able to get in, even upon objection, and would be planted in the minds of jurors, in spite of no evidence to prove them.

The jury appeared unable (intellectually) or unwilling (morally) to separate truth from lies.  But this leads to something else:

Will.

When someone lies, we must grasp that the subject has need to lie.  Did the jury understand that Jose Baez had need to lie?

Anthony Family Lies as a Whole

"They played the jury the way they played the media and investigators the past 3 years"  Kathi Belich

Their attitude towards law enforcement and prosecution has changed over the years.  For Cindy it changed in the first moments of the investigation.  George's clear comments to law enforcement about his suspicions.

"they were very torn" Ashton said.

Did the jury possess the ability to understand:

The Anthonys had need or reason to lie?

Ashton answered a question about the testimony of those who called Casey a "great" or "wonderful" mother (Mallory)

Ashton said, " its easy to play with a child for a minute and look like a great parent, but Casey never sacrificed for Caylee.  She never put Caylee's needs above her own."

He said, "Cindy and George were willing to turn a blind eye so Casey wouldn't take Caylee out of the house, so they paid for everything..."

He said that Caylee had to go because as she was getting older, she was able to talk, as seen in the last video, taken just before she was murdered.

Ashton, "Caylee would have spilled the beans--she had to go..."

When asked for advice on how an angry nation should handle things:

IGNORE CASEY

turn your back on her
don't buy books,

don't watch shows

IGNORE HER

It is sound advice.
