LESOTHO SOCCER: Birmingham City's Lee Bowyer apologises to West Brom fan

• Lee Bowyer argued with fans after being substituted
• Midfielder had been shown yellow card


The Birmingham City midfielder Lee Bowyer has made an "unreserved apology" for a confrontation with a West Bromwich Albion fan during Saturday's match at The Hawthorns.

Bowyer was substituted by Birmingham's manager, Alex McLeish, in the second half of West Brom's 3-1 win, to avoid the risk of him being sent off. The former England player had been booked for a challenge on Gabriel Tamas.
