A school of liars sweeping Tressel's dishonesty under the rug is symptomatic of a larger problem

A school of liars in Ohio (the school formerly called Ohio State) could not act for eight months when they found out about their football players breaking rules and selling sports memorabilia. Yet, in the space of 24 hours they could suspend Jim Tressel for two games and fine him $250,000?

A school of liars in Ohio is only acting fast now in the hopes of sweeping this under the rug. Their corruption in house and their corrupt cluthces on college sports is not going away just because Tressel is suspended.
The token suspension is as token as the underlined clause in Tressel's contract that he report any violations immediately. The see no evil way of life at a school of liars in Ohio has not been altered one damn bit by this.
Eight months after the violations, they became became public. It was then that Tressel tried to excuse the sales as 'necessity' (IE the players need to put bread on their table). That of course speaks to the pathetic issue of why are coaches making millions while players are supposedly not getting enough food? Of course, players are getting enough food, just look at them. They are perfectly healthy.

If Tressel lied to the school president and athletic director and he should be fired. But the more likely reality is that Tressels and the administration had a prearranged slap in the wrist punishment if it ever came to light that Tressels knew about the violations before it was brought to the university's attention by the US government.

Again, Shots Heard harkens back to our umbrella point. It's these type of whores that are corrupting college athletics.

Gene Smith chairs the NCAA Tournament committee and the school also was directly responsible for creating and maintaining the corrupt BCS for football. Give us our sports back. It's un-American that these a-hole power brokers should have their clutches on our sports.
